Earthquake

I experienced my first California earthquake. At 4:25 AM, Michelle and I were shaken awake by a 3.2 earthquake with its epicenter about 3 miles from our house. When we woke up, we looked out the window (it's normally pitch black outside) to see a slowly increasing strong orange glow - to our tired eyes it looked like something was on fire up the hill. The light actually belonged to the school that we live behind, I assume it was coming on as a result of the earthquake and the alarms that were tripped. I'm sure this won't be our last earthquake here, I hope all of them are as small as this one was.
